General Information About RMF

The Rock Ministerial Fellowship came into existence on the early '70s, after John and Anne Gimenez, pastors of the Rock Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia, began to receive calls to plant churches in their surrounding area. As churches sprang up, there was a need for fellowship and mentoring. Monthly meetings were begun for the Rock pastors, and soon grew to include many other pastors wanting covering and fellowship. In the mid '80s, the word "Fellowship" was changed to "Family" to more accurately reflect the strength of the covenant relationship between members.

Today, the Rock Ministerial Family is a vibrant family of churches, ministers, and missions reaching out to the nations of the world. The Rock Ministerial Family functions under apostolic authority and is dedicated to upholding and strengthening the hands of those in ministry. Through peer relationships, retreats, and resource materials, we seek to encourage and equip members to fulfill their prophetic destiny and purpose. We believe in apostolic authority, the five-fold ministry, the restoration of the church, the gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
